Gwagwalada community was on Friday thrown into confusion as a Tipper lorry with its five passengers plunged into a river near Wazobia Motor Park.
An Eye witness said that vehicle lost control and veered off the road broke the constructed protector at the edge of the bridge to find its way down into the flowing water.
He said the incident occurred on the busy road around 11 a.m. on Friday when the Muslim faithful were going for prayer to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir Festival

According to him,however, three of the passengers were rescued by local divers while two were still being searched for as at the time of filing the reports.
A Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) official who preferred anonymity said the rescued passengers including the driver had been taken to St Mary’s Hospital in Gwagwalada for medical attention.
“I cannot not confirm if there is any casualty as at the time this report is being filed as local divers are still in the water searching for other two passengers.
“However, the other three taken to the hospital by our men are receiving attention,” the FRSC official said.
Expozer Media recalled that Gwagwalada bridge was over flooded early Saturday 25th July, 2020 where it was reported that 30 people were missing while other residents still count their losses.
