A popular pastor passionately condemned the trending CAMA bill signed recently by president Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR on Sunday while preaching in his headquarters church at Auchi, Edo State.
The pastor , Apostle Johnson Suleman dares government that he would be the first to submit financial report if asked and if churches are instructed to do so . He would be happy doing it because if the income says 5million naira and expenditure on people says 60million, it is expected that government pays the balance.
Apostle Johnson Suleman wonders why government who has not been a part of the church in terms of paying staff salaries, supporting its widows and poor now appoints anyone from no where as board of trustee, it is nonsense according to him.
“You don’t appoint a board of trustee who has not been around at all and has no stake to the company”, he said.
The ferocious preacher while preaching on the topic, ‘Dangers of becoming the enemy of God’ asked the government if they are through managing ministry of agric or works before daring to come manage the church and says that the church belongs to God.
Apostle Johnson Suleman reaction is inline with the decision of CAN, PFN and other popular pastors such as Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Enoch Adeboye etc.
The apostle says nothing is wrong with transparency or auditing the financial status of the church but if deficit is discovered especially from churches that are not running because of money, the government should get set to pay the balance.
